Anyone looking at the stock market over the last week would assume that the global recession is over, the liquidity crisis which has ruined the banking system has been addressed, and consumers are suddenly flush.
Five days ago, the DJIA traded at 8,980. Yesterday, it hit 9,625. A 7% improvement. At that rate, the index will be back to its all-time high within six weeks.
When Obama got elected, my buddy even told me that it's only gonna goes up from here. He's gonna be our savior! I was almost convinced, but in the back of my head, I was like what happen to all those issues we faced 2 weeks ago? Did Paulson and Ben solved them? They're good. Obama is god, he's going to wave the wand and the world is gonna be perfect and will get better. How is that possible, right? Better than perfect?
Either Obama is setup to a huge failure and best of luck to him, because I don't think he could make that much of a change to our government. It's just too corrupted. And it's not yet in the big hole yet. We're sinking, but not down to the bottom as of yet. We have couple more inches to go (1000 - 3000 points).
Well, credit is still tight between banks to small businesses and consumers. Layoff news is coming out everyday, LBO and consumer credit debt write down is not starting yet. How much money is the government going print to help bailing out these banks and greedy CEOs? People are going to feel the crunch will spend even less than what they are now, and you thought the mall is still crowded? It will be empty empty soon, especially this Christmas. It's a ghost town, unless retails are sending out 70% off for holidays shopping season, not end of the year sale. I wonder what the discount would be? 90% off? Get rid of the inventory and put up "Out of business" sign? Why stress out? The economy is not going anywhere anyway? Wouldn't rather spend those specious time with family?

They will employ the art of persuasion and confuse me so that I would be like a bee in a spider’s web, laying there at the mercy of the spider’s appetite.
